ECG conducts archival study in Ottawa, Canada
This week, five historians from the ECG's Preliminary Research Department will be studying archives in Ottawa, Canada. In the 'Library and Archives' tens of thousands of attack plans, battle reports, maps and images can be consulted, which will provide the research department with detailed information. Now, selecting and collecting historical sources is only the first step. The real specialist work starts afterwards, when the information is assessed for relevance and the factually traceable data is processed in our database. Although it is not a mandatory source within the explosives detection industry, we are convinced that the data from the Library and Archives will add value to our risk analyses. Perhaps it will give us more insight into the possible involvement of your project area in acts of war?
