CO2 performance ladder

At ECG, we are consciously working on theCO2 emissions resulting from our business operations. That is why we are busy limiting our impact on the climate. This is done by means of theCO2-Performance ladder(SKAO) on level 3, in which all internalCO2 emissions are inventoried and the corresponding reduction measures and objectives are explained. This page gives an overview of the components of theCO2-Performance ladder, here we also make the half-yearlyCO2 emission figures available.

TheCO2 Performance Ladder consists of four parts: insight, reduction, transparency and participation. These components are explained in more detail below.

Insight

This section provides insight into ECG's emissions and offers information that is used to formulate objectives and measures. ECG has the following energy flows:

  • Natural gas
  • Diesel (HVO)
  • Electricity
  • EURO 95 petrol
  • Hybrid equipment

Reduction

The reduction target for scope 1 emissions is 3% relative to full-time equivalent employees relative to 2019 with the year of target being 2023.

The reduction target for scope 2 emissions is 100% in 2022 compared to 2019.

Transparency

With clear communication to the outside world, we give everyone insight into the currentCO2 performance. This is done via this page, where a new version of theCO2 inventory is published every six months.

Participation

We participate in two initiatives to gather information aboutCO2 reduction. Firstly, we are member of NederlandCO2 Neutraal where we follow workshops to learn from experts in the field of sustainability. More information about this initiative can be found at: https://nlco2neutraal.nl/

Secondly, we are a member of the Gelderland Energy Accord, where we contribute to making the province climate-neutral by 2050, with a milestone of 55% reduction by 2030 compared to 1990. More information on this initiative can be found at: https://www.geldersenergieakkoord.nl/
